Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or a combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with knowledge equivalent to a major in such fields.
- Minimum 1 year (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible experience as a power system engineer or similar type role.
- Experience within the electric utility industry preferred.
- Familiarity with grid simulation tools for determining electricity production costs and/or optimal generation capacity expansion
- Familiarity with risk assessment techniques using scenario analysis and probabilistic modeling methods such as Monte Carlo simulation
- Programming languages: Python, SQL, Visual Basic for Applications
- Professional Engineer registration in Texas preferred.
