Job Description
Enviva, a rapidly growing energy company specializing in sustainable wood bioenergy solutions, is seeking a Vessel Operator to load bulk materials and support port operations. The role involves safe dock and undocking, handling heavy equipment, overseeing operation of heavy equipment, and ensuring quality and safety in a challenging environment. Requirements
- Ensure docking, undocking, and mooring process
- Control room operations to ensure vessel is loading correctly
- Operate heavy equipment on vessel (loaders, crane, ship loader)
- Complete man overboard training
- Barge loading and system setup for limestone
- Receive pellets into the port, record data
- Keep scale and ramps clean
- Collect samples and test finished goods
- Maintain QA/QC records
- Communicate effectively
- Complete safety certification
