Job Description
Enviva is a global energy company specializing in sustainable wood bioenergy solutions. They are seeking a Control Room Operator to monitor plant systems, respond to alarms, and ensure safe and efficient operation. The role involves adjusting production lines, maintaining equipment, and communicating with the team.
Requirements
- Operate plant functions from the control room.
- Manage chip feed system, fuel feed system, furnace, dryer system, primary and secondary sizing and pellet presses.
- Act as overall contact for plant operations.
- Monitor: Checking indicator screens and signal lights and monitoring production rates.
- Adjusting: Translating signals into production realities.
- Maintaining: Maintaining working schedules and equipment temperature.
- Resolving issues: Assess and adjust accordingly
- Communicating: Communicating with team members.
- Strong aptitude in math and ability to perform calculations.
- Working independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of generating unit operation, engineering, or maintenance practices.
