Certified Peer Recovery Specialist 41

The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist will provide support, mentorship, and hope to individuals navigating substance use, mental health, or co-occurring challenges. The role involves building authentic, trust-based relationships with clients, assisting them in developing recovery plans, connecting them to community resources, and promoting wellness, empowerment, and self-advocacy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) credential
• Personal lived experience with recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges
• Minimum 1 year of sustained recovery (strongly preferred)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and the Maryland Code of Ethics for Peer Recovery Specialists
