Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Environmental Compliance Engineer to ensure our operations comply with environmental regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
Requirements
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and standards
- Further develop and maintain the Hazardous Waste Program, HAZCOM Program, and Hazardous Materials Business Plan
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments of facilities and processes
- Obtain, renew, and maintain environmental permits
- Develop, implement, and annually review any environmental programs and policies
- Develop, implement, and improve environmental management systems
- Prepare and submit compliance reports, documentation, and data to regulatory agencies as required
- Investigate environmental incidents or non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Stay current on environmental legislation and policy changes and advise stakeholders accordingly
- Provide training and technical support to staff regarding environmental practices and procedures
