Job Description
This PRN/Casual Patient Access Specialist/Front Office position serves as a liaison between patient/family, payers, and healthcare teams. The role involves verifying patient information, processing payments, collecting out-of-pocket responsibilities, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate is excellent at customer service and building relationships within the healthcare system.
Requirements
- Maintain compliance with EMTALA, DNV, HIPAA and all other hospital and government regulations applicable to the Admissions settings and in handling of Medical Records
- Provide excellent customer service by effectively meeting customer needs
- Obtain signatures on required forms and consents
- Verify insurance benefits for all plans associated with patient
- Obtain insurance authorizations as required by individual insurance plans
- Manage cash drawer and maintain accurate records
