Technical Designer Cables & Lines Requisition ID: 9523 Posting Start Date: 15/12/2025 Function Within the Elia Group, Elia Engineering is responsible for all infrastructure projects that meet requirements with respect to the development, expansion and renewal of the Belgian electricity transmission system between 30 and 380 kV. As a Cable and Line Designer, you play a crucial role in the design and implementation of high-voltage cables and lines within the electrical grid. You contribute to the preparation of technical schematics and plans necessary for cable and line projects, ensuring quality and efficiency. You support projects related to high-voltage infrastructure and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders. Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities: • Designing and drafting technical plans and schematics for high-voltage cables and lines. • Performing quality checks on designs and plans, and suggesting improvements. • Collaborating with project managers, internal departments, and external partners to implement technical solutions. • Managing and monitoring schedules for cable and line designs to ensure deadlines are met. • Assisting with technical analyses and documentation for cable and line projects. • Evaluating and reviewing technical files and specifications from external partners. • Supporting technical discussions with internal and external parties.
