Senior Software Engineer - R&D

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - R&D to join our team at Elanco. As a global leader in animal health, we are dedicated to innovation and delivering products and services to prevent and treat disease in farm animals and pets. The successful candidate will be part of our software engineering team, deployed into a multi-disciplined product team to deliver engineering expertise to business-facing products and services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with modern application architecture and cloud-native design patterns, preferably in Azure or Google Cloud
• 5+ years working in a DevSecOps culture with CI/CD, TDD, and modern software development practices
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), and supporting digital platforms (integrations, release management, regression testing, data obfuscation)
• Strong software engineering skills, including proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.js, and experience with Python or similar languages
• Understanding of data technologies such as Databricks and PowerBI, and experience scaling API ecosystems and designing API-first integration patterns
