Job Description
E4E is seeking an Executive Director to lead their New York chapter, aiming to elevate the teaching profession and provide resources for educators. The role focuses on driving advocacy for policy changes, building a strong team, and serving as a spokesperson for the organization. This is a leadership position responsible for implementing the theory of change, fundraising, and representing the organization's mission.
Requirements
- At least ten years of experience in education, education policy, campaign organizing, and/or advocacy space
- Experience managing high-performing teams
- Political savvy and demonstrated track record of effectively navigating complex power dynamics
- Establishing a clear vision and measurable goals
- Experience building partnerships and fundraising
- Understanding of NYC and NYS legislation, economic, social, and political trends
