Senior Firmware Engineer

Eaton's Advanced Technology team is hiring a Senior Firmware Engineer to design firmware for electronics used in low voltage and medium voltage circuit breakers. The role will be located in Moon Township, PA, and involves designing and developing embedded software for power electronics based circuit protection products.

Requirements

• Perform embedded design and testing tasks for firmware development
• Develop control and electrical fault management algorithm and firmware leveraging HIL
• Plan work in detail at individual level, creating a robust and trackable plan, coordinated with the larger development team
• Review own work as well as others work in formal design and quality reviews
• Test own work or work of others, meeting quality and reliability goals
• Develop a high level of technical expertise in embedded software design
• Perform and contribute to technical research and investigations
• Collaborate with teams from ERL, Electrical Sector Center of Excellence, and external technology resources
• Generate value-added intellectual property
