Senior Manager, Software Engineering

EasyPost is a YC unicorn whose mission is to make shipping simple for businesses. The Senior Manager of Software Engineering for the Core Carriers team leads and manages a team of engineers to develop and deliver high-scale, high-performing APIs critical to our core business.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years of hands-on development of complex systems
• 4+ years managing software engineering teams of at least five engineers
• Proven experience developing high-volume, high-performance APIs, ideally for a SaaS product
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and guide teams effectively
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles, development methodologies, and best practices
• Experience working with large, external vendors
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience managing complex development projects, including resource allocation, planning, and risk management
