Advanced Practice Provider - (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

This role is for an Advanced Practice Provider (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences. The provider will be responsible for providing general medical care and treatment of women enrolled in clinical trials, coordinating gynecologic and obstetric care, and working with research staff on study activities. This is an independent provider role coordinating gynecologic and obstetric care.

Requirements

• Performs physical examinations.
• Prescribes or recommends drugs according to state laws.
• Reviews and evaluates diagnostic tests.
• Provides diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses.
• Records patient information in EMR.
• Discusses case plan with physician.
