Job Description
The Principal Structural Design Engineer will define scope of technical programs, develop effective solutions to complex problems, and provide leadership in determining solutions to complex problems. The role requires expertise in structural engineering, including design, analysis, and oversight of structural systems, and proficiency in using software such as STAAD and MicroStation 2D CADD.
Requirements
- Ph.D degree in applicable science or engineering discipline and 5+ years’ experience
- MS with 8+ years’ experience
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering with 10+ years’ experience or more
- Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities
- Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of STAAD
- Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD and LRFD), ACI, AWS, NFPA, and OSHA
- Proficiency in using MicroStation 2D Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software is preferred
