Senior Backend Engineer (m/w/d)

We are E WIE EINFACH GmbH, a gas and electricity supplier based in Cologne, and we're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for building and operating a lean, reliable, and scalable backend and integration framework for our modern, cloud-native digital platform.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a backend engineer
• Strong knowledge of Node.js / TypeScript and experience in building API-driven integrations
• Practical experience in DevOps basics: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Cloud Deployments
• Deep understanding of API-first systems (REST/GraphQL) and asynchronous integrations
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to collaborate with teams across the organization
• Sovereign communication in German and English
