Sr Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our data infrastructure, with a strong focus on integrating and visualizing data using JD Edwards (JDE) and EDI. This role combines the responsibilities of a Senior Data Engineer with advanced data integration skills, playing a key part in both the strategic direction and hands-on implementation of data systems that support the organization’s growing needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
• At least 5-7 years of experience in data engineering or a related technical role, with strong expertise in data integration and system architecture
• Proven experience with JD Edwards, particularly in extracting and transforming ERP data
• Strong experience with EDI processes and technologies for seamless data integration
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, SQL, and other relevant tools for data engineering
• Extensive experience with ETL processes, data integration, and pipeline automation
• Advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools, especially Power BI, for designing reports and dashboards
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time data streaming
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage stakeholder expectations
• Demonstrated ability to step in and support team members when needed, as well as independently take ownership of resolving issues
• Proven track record of mentoring junior team members and providing leadership within a collaborative environment
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies and new business requirements
