Specialty Cook

We are looking for a Specialty Cook to join our team in Brisbane, CA. The successful candidate will have experience in producing high-volume, high-quality food from menus, with a focus on Indian cuisine. They will be responsible for executing specialized recipes and techniques, monitoring ingredient levels, and adhering to food safety guidelines. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range and benefits.

Requirements

• Experience in producing high-volume, high-quality food from menus
• Must have experience with various cooking duties – grilling, preparing sauces, etc.
• Operating a traditional Indian cooking such items as meat and breads
• Preparing Indian curries, sauces, and desserts as per standard and style set by the Head Chef(s)
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, burners/pans, and other cooking equipment
• Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of traditional Indian cuisine including desserts
• Ensure the correct preparation and presentation standard of the dishes is always maintained
• Demonstrating tandoor techniques and cooking procedures to other staff if require
• Storing food in temperature-controlled freezers
• Checking on food supplies and advising the supervisor of any requirements
