Product Engineer

Do you enjoy working with customers and being the link between manufacturing, customers, product development and applications development? We are seeking a Product Engineer to support our Engineered Products Global Fibers' markets.

Requirements

• Provides internal technical service to Operations when customer issues and complaints arise for existing and new products.
• Ensures accurate and consistent products definitions and quality criteria across all production sites for the product line under his/her responsibility.
• Regularly communicates with all Product Engineers colleagues to ensure constant exchange of best practices.
• Leads the new product and process development phase when projects move past the Development phase and are being scaled up at JM's and customers' manufacturing facilities.
• Identifies requirements and develops product definitions for potential new developments that will lead to solutions that provide value to our customers.
• Keeps abreast of competitor's technology and product platforms and provides feedback to the technical and business teams.
• Leads issue analysis using problem solving techniques and DMAIC based approaches
• Leads and communicates complaint resolution response using inputs from the Key Account Manager, External Technical Service Engineer, Customer Service Associate, Quality Manager, Manufacturing and Process Engineers
• Extends focus from filamentization to packaging.
• Maintains internal documentation capturing essential products specification criteria
