Staff Engineer GPU infrastructure

DigitalOcean is seeking a Staff Engineer to join a dynamic team revolutionizing cloud computing with a GPU infrastructure service. This role involves building, maintaining, and improving the GPU Bare Metal service, providing best practices and automation tools. The position requires strong skills in Linux systems, automation, and communication to contribute to a secure and scalable cloud platform. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager of GPU Compute within the IaaS organization.

Requirements

• Proven ability to orchestrate bare metal linux systems at scale.
• Deep Linux systems experience including low-level troubleshooting, configuration management, security best practices, and monitoring.
• Strong automation mindset.
• Expert knowledge in orchestration tools (MaaS, Salt, Chef, Ansible, Puppet).
