Requirements
- Understanding of the Defence Market
- Enthusiasm, creativity and entrepreneurial flair to generate revenue early
- Knowledge of structured sales process and how to manage a sales pipeline
- Sales Support & Business Development (SALE L5/L6)
- Relationship Management (RLMT L5/L6)
- Strategic Planning & Market Analysis (SPPL L5/L6)
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies: Experience with frameworks such as MEDIC or Miller Heiman to qualify and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder defence buy-cycles
- Capture Management: Ability to run a rigorous capture process—identifying the Must-Win opportunities 12–24 months before a programme begins or an ITT is released
- Relationship Development and Digital Selling: Strong understanding of how to leverage platforms like LinkedIn and industry groups (e.g. Tech UK, ADS, D-Group) to build new connections, consortia and identify opportunities before a formal bid process begins
