Backend Entwickler*in (m/w/d)

We are seeking a Backend Developer (m/f/d) to join our IT & Digital business area in Frankfurt am Main. The role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions using Java, ensuring system performance, collaborating with front-end developers, and implementing RESTful APIs. The ideal candidate will have experience with Java development, web application development, and relevant frameworks.

Requirements

• Completed studies in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable qualification
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in Java development (Java 8 and higher)
• Sound knowledge in the development of scalable web applications and RESTful services
• Several years of experience with frameworks such as SpringBoot, Jakarta EE or similar
• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with modern development tools and CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions or similar
• Experience in documenting complex technical relationships
• Good German language skills in word and writing
• Independent and structured working style
• Very good communication skills and teamwork ability
• Analytical skills and a solution-oriented working approach
• Strong hands-on mentality
