Job Description
This position is responsible for ensuring the department has all necessary materials for production, including inventory, changeovers, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
Requirements
- Verifies proper work procedures are being followed
- Supplies all materials necessary for production using the Kanban system
- Performs changeovers and ensures workstations have proper parts, work instructions, and supplies
- Monitors line activity and production output to ensure the line is running according to the daily plan
- Basic troubleshooting, repair of production equipment, and fabrication of process support materials
- Trains new Associates on quality and production requirements and re-trains current Associates on process changes
- Ensures Associates are operating in a safe manner and follows all IATF-16949 requirements
- Reviews tie-in sheets with the following shift and continuously looks for opportunities for improvement
- Supports other members of the department as necessary and works to improve 5S conditions
