Senior Software Engineer – IDE Integrations (VS Code & Cursor)

As a Senior Software Engineer on the IDE Integrations team, you’ll help bring Datadog’s observability and AI capabilities directly into developers’ everyday workflows within VS Code and Cursor. You will design and implement developer tools that surface Datadog observability data within VS Code and Cursor, and collaborate with product and engineering teams across Datadog.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience in integrations
• Experienced in creating developer tools or IDE extensions
• Rapid experimenter who can iterate quickly on product ideas
• Passionate about AI-assisted development and improving developer workflows
• Pragmatic and focused on simplicity, performance, and usability
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, ideally Typescript + (e.g., Python, Go, Rust)
