Manual Machinist- Class A

We are currently looking for a Class A Machinist to make machine parts for in-house production of manufacturing machinery. The machinist will primarily use lathes and manual Bridgeport style milling machines, and will be responsible for tasks such as grinding, tapping, drilling, and more. The ideal candidate will have a technical machining degree or equivalent experience, and will be able to work on-site daily at our Farmingdale, Long Island headquarters.

Requirements

• Machine parts from blueprints using standard machining practices, efficiently, accurately and safely.
• Work with engineers solving issues with parts or during machine assembly or troubleshooting.
• Maintain equipment properly including any cleaning or lubrication.
• Track work accurately.
• Must hold tolerances according to blueprint.
• Create tooling fixtures as necessary.
• Select proper tools and sequence of operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
