This volunteer placement is located in Mekele, Tigray, Ethiopia, and requires a 6-month commitment with the possibility of extension. As a volunteer, you will develop data collection tools and systems, conduct regular data collection and tracking, and train staff on data collection methods and protocols. You will also analyze collected data, generate evaluation reports, establish mechanisms for beneficiary feedback and Complaints, and develop and implement accountability frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline
- At least 2-3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) roles
- Proficiency in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, data collection, and analysis
- Experience in relevant sectors such as community development, public health, education, or humanitarian aid
- Competency in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data using tools like Excel, SPSS, or other data analysis software
- Ability to interpret data, generate insights, and produce comprehensive reports
- Experience in managing or supporting projects, including planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
