Job Description
Cushing Terrell is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Engineer based in Austin, Texas, to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong client service skills, capable of design and project management, and adept at working within the region. This role offers the opportunity to grow within the company and contribute to the development of mechanical engineering work in the area. The position is a key player in the firm’s continued growth and is with the current engineering leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years’ experience in Consulting HVAC Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain)
- Proficient in design of advanced HVAC systems
- Advanced knowledge of Heating/Cooling load and Ventilation calculations
- Advanced knowledge of hydronic pipe sizing, pump selection, duct sizing and fan selection
- Proficient in application of Mechanical Building Codes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
