Software Engineer, Backend

Cribl is a remote-first company looking for a Staff Engineer to work on the Stream Control Plane. The role involves developing scalable, reliable, and intuitive features for Cribl Stream, a data engine for IT and Security.

Requirements

• BS in CS and 2+ years of industry experience / MS in CS
• Hands-on coding contributions on multiple projects that have shipped to production
• Experience working on enterprise software running in Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Has built and used production APIs (e.g. REST, RPC)
• Has participated in production on-call and incident response
• Experience using Javascript test frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Codecept, Mocha, Cypress, Jest)
• Knowledge/experience in data streaming & transformation, high volume telemetry, logs, metrics and observability
• Hands-on coding experience with NodeJS, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Experience working in startup/fast-paced work environments, Agile software development, remote/hybrid work
