Job Description
The Director of Special Education impacts the lives of students by advocating for their academic and social development, managing the special education department, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing professional development. This role involves collaborating with families, teachers, and administrators to create effective IEPs and support a dynamic learning environment.
Requirements
- Believe in the mission and values of Crescent City Schools
- Have an outstanding record of working with students with exceptionalities
- BA or BS Degree
- Louisiana Special Education Teacher Certification (or equivalent)
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
