A well-established CPA firm in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Tax Supervisor to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a tax professional with 7 or more years of public accounting experience, looking to take the next step in their career by leading client engagements, mentoring junior staff, and managing complex tax projects.

Requirements

• Manage and review the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Lead multiple tax engagements, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
• Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to a diverse client base.
• Conduct complex tax research and stay informed on current tax law changes and industry developments.
• Supervise and mentor junior and senior staff accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with partners and other team members on client deliverables and firm initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, offering proactive insights and responsive service.
• Assist in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality control.
