Auxiliary Operator

The Auxiliary Operator is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of the Power Plant, and the supporting equipment and systems. The Auxiliary Operator carries out all routine water/gas chemistry analysis, inspects and monitors operating components, and reports Plant status. The Auxiliary Operator will also support in the maintenance of the facility.

Requirements

• Health and safety knowledge
• Ability to understand procedures and instructions
• Associate Degree in a technical field (desirable)
• Experience in a Power Plant environment (desired)
• Experience working with high-pressure turbines and associated equipment
• Experience in water chemistry control and chemical-handling requirements
• Strong aptitude in math and mechanical/electrical ability
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of combustion-turbine operations and industrial safety
• Experience with piping and instrument schematics and process controls
• Mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical equipment knowledge
