Network Engineer

CGS is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to evaluate, enhance, and maintain a large-scale network project. This role involves designing and implementing a network infrastructure, including wireless, wired, and software aspects. The network engineer will interface with stakeholders and provide technical expertise to support the infrastructure and systems testing, security assessments and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Operate and manage NPS network infrastructure
• Improve infrastructure monitoring and reporting capabilities
• Develop, maintain and deliver infrastructure documentation
• Review current best practices and provide recommendations for network infrastructure
• Administer Cloudpath
• Assess and recommend improvements to network infrastructure
• Define and conduct testing procedures
• Implement technology solutions
• Provide design guidance
• Provide training on network best practices
• Implement penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and vulnerability testing
• Experience with RF site survey tools
• Strong knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 routing protocols
• Strong knowledge of network security (802.1x, MAC Authentication, ACLs, RADIUS)
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of LINUX, MS Server 2013, VMware, etc.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years experience with disaster recovery plan implementation
• Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and vulnerability testing
• Experience with cyber threat information collection
• Working knowledge of Agile/SCUM project management methodologies
