The Quality Engineer plays a key role in ensuring that ConMet's products meet the highest standard of quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Coordinate directly with customers and manage the assigned customer deck, providing cradle-to-grave ownership of quality activities.
- Perform product and process audits; provide audit direction, monitoring, reporting, and problem-solving support across all functions.
- Establish and maintain part quality standards by collaborating with customer and new product teams.
- Support program launches and APQP deliverables to ensure readiness, capability, and compliance.
- Lead or participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action development (8D, fishbone, 5-Why, etc.).
- Develop, recommend, and implement quality improvements and process changes.
- Manage Safe Launch activities, including preparation and distribution of daily Safe Launch/Hold reports to management.
- Participate in customer and internal audits; assist in follow-up actions and documentation.
- Support inspection activities, measurement system analysis (MSA), capability studies, and other quality tools as required.
