Assistant Safety Manager (Riggs Self Perform)

The Assistant Safety Manager- Self Perform assists in implementing and maintaining the company's safety program across all job sites in the Northeast Region. This role ensures compliance with regulatory safety requirements and fosters a proactive, behavior-based safety culture. Responsibilities include conducting site visits, training employees, investigating incidents, and leading safety meetings.

Requirements

• Maintain company-wide safety policies and job-specific safety plans.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Attend frequent external and internal trainings.
• Participation at JSA review and Jobsite Gym is imperative.
• Perform hazard assessments and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and lead root cause analysis.
• Monitor subcontractors’ safety compliance and coordinate site-wide safety efforts.
• Work with teams to ensure completion of pre-task documentation.
• Fall Protection Plans, Demo Plans, Silica Exposure Control Plans
• Maintain safety documentation, including OSHA logs, safety meeting records, and training certifications.
• Coordinate with superintendents to plan for safe means and methods during high-risk activities.
• Stay current on local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Must be a self starter. Good manager or time.
