Adjunct Health Science Teacher - Texas Connections Academy @ Houston (TCAH)

Texas Connections Academy @ Houston (TCAH) is seeking a Part Time Adjunct Health Science Teacher to work out of their home in Texas, directing instruction through managing online instructional programs for middle/high school students. The teacher will ensure that each student successfully completes state standards for promotion to the next grade level or to meet graduation requirements within four years of entering 9th grade.

Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach Health Science in Texas (appropriate to grade level and subject responsibilities)
• Must hold a current (within the last 3 years) TxVSN approved Online Instructor’s Training certificate or be prepared to obtain one immediately upon hire
• Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Customer focused approach
• High degree of flexibility
• Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
• Team player track record
• Experience with online instruction is a plus
• Must own a computer with high speed Internet access that meets Connections Academy’s minimum technology specifications
