As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be a critical part of the Commvault Federal Sales Team, driving pre-sales engagement and technical excellence. You will be an expert on Commvault’s products and services, understand the presales methodology, and how decisions impact / influence the customer’s bottom line while driving revenue for Commvault.
Requirements
- 8+ years in software or storage industries
- 10+ years in a pre-sales engineer role
- Security clearance (NV1 or higher)
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern technologies (containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift) is desirable.
- Experience working with Public Sector Clients and competitive knowledge in the market.
- Expertise in data management solutions (backup & recovery, security resilience, migration, compliance, cloud workloads).
- Solid grasp of software licensing, cloud sizing, and enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory).
- Deep knowledge of infrastructure technologies (storage, servers, networking, cloud, hyper-convergence).
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce) and sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC).
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related IT field (preferred).
