Health Services Specialist (GO0708 - East Campus)

The Health Services Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining confidentiality, and providing flexibility in practice staffing arrangements. They perform various duties such as patient registration, data entry, and billing, as well as referring patients for special funding and overseeing the waiting area.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Minimum one year experience in front office duties
• Medical Assistant or Dental Assistant training preferred
• Good verbal and written communications, with good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience with insurance verification and referrals preferred
• Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding skills
• Knowledge in healthcare billing, to include Medicaid, Medicare, and Private Insurance
• Ability to handle multiple tasks ensuring completion with minimal supervision
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Good attention to detail
