Job Description
Coherent is seeking a Laser Test Engineer to join their Product Development engineering team. The role involves developing and testing laser diode modules and devices, performing validation testing, and using testing to solve process problems. This position requires a passion for laser technology and a commitment to quality and safety.
Requirements
- B.S. or higher degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline.
- 5 years optical and laser test experience in new product development environment.
- Working knowledge of laser safety and experience operating lasers and measuring laser beam parameters.
- Knowledge and experience with statistical data analysis tools and problem-solving methods.
- Safety Requirements: All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
- Quality and Environmental Responsibilities: Depending on location, may be responsible for ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards.
