Evolve the cloud platform by leveraging emerging best practices, tools and automation to enable Cogeco's acceleration to the cloud. Define core services, technology standards and common design, advise application development groups on incorporating cloud infrastructure capabilities.
Requirements
- Drive technical direction of cloud solutions aligned with cloud strategy
- Compile, develop, and deliver architectural guardrails; influence stakeholders and ensure compliance with guardrails
- Responsible to build services to effectively provision, install/configure cloud infrastructure and lead infrastructure as code
- Provide guidance on new tools and techniques to increase performance, automation, agility and scalability
- Partner with delivery teams to help build CI/CD pipelines
- Service management - enable teams logging, monitoring, alerting, auditing and reporting on service platforms
- Partner with application teams to design and implement codified stacks that meet their needs
- Research, analyse, recommend and select technical approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems
- Operations management - Identity and access management (IAM) and asset management
- Support cost management reporting - assist the tracking and reporting on the financial performance of cloud initiatives to ensure they are creating desired value. Advisory on project costing / budgeting
- Provide up-to-date information on all GCP services, and advise on how to solve business use cases and support technology-led innovation
- Partner with technology teams to apply security, and governance requirements and best practices are implemented in the cloud environment
- Oversee establishment and maintenance of appropriate standards for cloud services and definition of processes and guidelines
