Associate, Health Financing

The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is seeking a Project Associate to support the implementation of health system strengthening activities in Burkina Faso. The Project Associate will play a central role in project coordination and technical assistance to government partners, particularly in connection with the Free Care (“Gratuité”) program.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in public health, project management, political science, public policy, health economics, or any relevant discipline.
• 4–6 years of experience in project management in demanding environments (international organizations, public administration, health programs, etc.).
• Mandatory experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa, in the health sector (public health, health programs, health systems, financing, etc.).
• Strongly valued: experience working with a Ministry of Health or other government institution.
• Demonstrated experience in multi-stakeholder coordination and managing complex activities.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Skills in monitoring-evaluation and data analysis are an asset.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a complex and dynamic environment.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Excellent command of French and at least an intermediate level of English.
