Section Manager Health and Safety

Section Manager Health and Safety responsible for providing leadership and technical guidance on safety and health issues, OSHA compliance, and safety performance at Cleveland-Cliffs Steel's Dearborn Works manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• Monitor and improve plant safety performance
• Create a performance-driven culture
• Maintain OSHA compliance
• Provide technical guidance to Plant General Manager and operations managers
• Effectively manage direct reports
• Promote Health & Safety
• Ensure effectiveness of the Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Health and Safety program
• Maintain an effective and collaborative relationship with the site labor union
• Investigate, review, and respond to employee safety and health issues
• Coordinate injury/incident investigations and lead root cause analysis
• Conduct or coordinate worker training
• Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping per OSHA requirements
• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring on safety initiatives, safety regulations, and best practices
