Health and Safety Specialist

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for a Safety Representative at our Burns Harbor, IN operation. The Safety Specialist is responsible for actively working with operating, maintenance, and staff departments in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety and industrial hygiene programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or significant experience in the field of safety
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), team building, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to effectively work in a team-oriented environment
• Self-motivated with minimal direction required for day-to-day operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• 3 years’ experience in a safety and health position
