Electrical Engineer

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work at our East Chicago, Indiana location. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical systems, programming, and troubleshooting, and will be able to work collaboratively with our teams.

Requirements

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Diagnose and troubleshoot programming and electrical issues
• Create, modify, and confirm programming logic
• Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems
• Work with operations, engineering, maintenance, and other technical resources to drive results
• Directs bargaining unit employees to accomplish work and provide guidance on technical issues
• Lead for electrical projects and jobs during outages
• Monitor the electrical work of external contractors for the purpose of ensuring that projects are satisfactorily completed in a timely manner
• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate production and safety concerns
