Senior Ecologist - Brum

An established environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join its growing ecology team in Birmingham, with a salary of £38,000 – £47,000 + 4-day working week (full pay). The role involves leading ecological projects, managing client relationships, and supporting the development of the wider ecology team.

Requirements

• Degree (or higher) in ecology, biological sciences or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of UK ecological legislation and planning policy
• Excellent survey skills, including UK Habitat Classification and specialist species surveys
• Experience liaising with clients, statutory bodies and local planning authorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage projects, budgets and deadlines
• A collaborative, values-led approach to working
• Full UK driving licence
