Maintenance Mechanic - Intern

Clean Harbors is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Intern to join our El Dorado, AR team for Summer 2026. The intern will gain hands-on experience working alongside Maintenance Repair Technicians performing a variety of maintenance and repairs on equipment throughout the facility.

Requirements

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• Assist in performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling equipment as necessary
• Shadow technicians testing mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications
• Support work with computer instrumentation to perform diagnostics and execute work orders
• Gain exposure to welding and fabrication of necessary parts to maintain equipment in working order
• Learn about hydraulics systems and pump maintenance, including centrifugal and diaphragm pumps
• Maintain accurate records and logs as required

Benefits

• Paid Hourly Wage: $25/hr
