The CES ROC Operator position is responsible for safely operating and monitoring photovoltaic solar power and Battery Storage plants. The position involves fault evaluation, alarm monitoring, and troubleshooting, as well as supporting field teams and remote commissioning testing of new Solar and Battery assets.
Requirements
- Direct, monitor, and coordinate the operation of CES Solar, BESS, and wind assets from the 24/7 Operations Control Center
- Ensure operations comply with all applicable NERC standards and practices for Medium Impact Assets
- Work independently with guidance only in complex situations
- Monitor real-time control center operations and the performance of CES's fleet of managed assets
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements
- Dispatch field and emergency service personnel when appropriate
- Remotely direct electrical substation switching at facilities using a detailed understanding of the Company's electrical switching practices
- Assist Field Service Technicians with troubleshooting on a daily basis
- Record operating actions taken during shifts in the operator's log
- Utilize accurate and efficient three-part communication skills on inbound and outbound telephone conversations
- Complete ROC Operator qualification process/training
- Complete applicable safety and regulatory/compliance training requirements
- Identify process improvements
- Adhere to cybersecurity protocols and best practices
- Maintain vigilance against phishing, malware, and other online threats
