Direct Support Professional

Community Living Corporation is a nonprofit organization that provides residential and day services to developmentally disabled adults in Northern Westchester County. We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team!

Requirements

• Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, and grooming.
• Administer and document medications accurately.
• Support meal planning, cooking, and dietary needs.
• Implement behavioral support strategies and crisis management techniques.
• Provide transportation to appointments, programs, and community activities.
• Maintain thorough documentation and reporting.
• Encourage independence and support household tasks like cleaning, laundry, and budgeting.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all staff members.
• Provide essential medical and daily living support to clients.
• Medication administration and secure documentation.
• Health monitoring (vitals, behavior, sleep patterns) and reporting to Health Services.
• First aid, CPR, and emergency response readiness.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
• Understanding, implementing, and documenting each client's Residential Habilitation Plan.
