Solid Waste Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

As a Civil Engineer Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in the Waste Management Practice, you’ll support in-office and field activities primarily associated with solid waste landfills and transfer station facilities. You will interact and communicate with CEC office and field staff, clients, and contractors.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering program
• Prior internship and/or related engineering and construction inspection experience preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with people by talking face-to-face and by email
• Have organizational skills
• Ability to write daily reports
• Ability to use Excel Spreadsheets to prepare calculations and analyze data
• Willing and able to work in the field
• Have a valid driver’s license and transportation
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in the U.S. without sponsorship
