Airspace Regulator (Strategic)

The CAA is looking for a highly skilled expert to join the Airspace Regulation (AR) team and influence the development of options for changes to airspace in support and delivery of airspace modernisation. The role will involve reviewing and scrutinising proposals for airspace changes, providing technical support and guidance to AR subject matter experts, and advising industry bodies on the application of the airspace change process.

Requirements

• Significant experience within an Air Traffic Management environment and/or the UK aviation industry
• Excellent understanding of UK airspace, air traffic operations, aircraft performance, and developments in the aviation industry
• Ability to develop strong, constructive relationships with contacts throughout the CAA and externally
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills to deal tactfully, diplomatically, and authoritatively with people at all levels
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
