Job Description
The Epidemiologist provides epidemiological expertise and support to programs in Toronto Public Health, including advice and support related to the collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of surveillance data, for assessing communicable disease and environmental health indicators.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Epidemiology or related discipline.
- Considerable experience using statistical analysis software such as SAS, and/or R, and programming languages currently used to collect, analyze and report epidemiological data in Ontario.
- Experience in a public health or related agency as an epidemiologist or in similar role, preferably with expertise in environmental health and communicable disease epidemiology or population health assessment.
- Knowledge of current public health issues, epidemiological concepts, and quality assurance principles related to communicable disease and environmental health;
