ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT 2

The Accounting Assistant 2 performs various accounting duties, including reviewing and analyzing ledger accounts, preparing financial statements, and reconciling encumbrances and budget variance reports. The role also involves maintaining a Cost Control System, preparing subsidy claims and ad hoc financial reports, and performing accounts receivable functions.

Requirements

• Completion or present enrolment towards completion of a professional accounting designation and/or an equivalent combination of education and senior experience in accounting
• Extensive experience in financial accounting and/or financial reporting in public or private sector
• Considerable experience in the analysis, investigation and processing of transactions relating to accounts receivable
• Considerable experience analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports
• Considerable experience using office systems including Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Considerable experience using SAP or an equivalent financial information system
