Job Description
The position of Lifeguard at the Parks & Recreation Department in Somerville, MA requires maintaining safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Lifeguards will monitor activities, enforce regulations, and provide first aid in case of injury. The role involves inspections, maintenance, and communicating with other department staff.
Requirements
- 0-1+ years of experience as a Lifeguard.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard certification (or similar).
- Knowledge of proper swimming techniques and water safety rules.
- Ability to follow instructions and provide lifekeeping.
